Catalog Management

Decision Academic gives institutions the ability to create multiple catalog outputs (both Web and traditional print) from a single source, to publish an up-to-the-minute catalog with the touch of a button and revise the structure and design of the catalog without any impact on the content.

The Academic Catalog acts as the legal contract between the institution and the student, describing courses and defining degrees such that the student is clear on what they must accomplish in order to graduate. The information provided must be correct, clear and unambiguous for both the student and the institution.

Institutional administrators must address the content management of the academic calendar to ensure its integrity and publish it in both print and web formats. While the book format lends itself to an annual cycle, the web offers institutions the ability to maintain an up-to-the-minute catalog.

Decision Academic offers an easy-to-use, customizable capability which allows administrators to define the process of managing the content and integrity of an academic calendar. Administrators are able to streamline calendar creation, editing, approval and publishing.

The catalog's look and feel are controlled by pre-defined templates, layouts and common text. The entire catalog is conveniently stored in a database, which authorized users simply log on to from the convenience of any internet-connected computer to access their portion of the catalog.
